Vol. 136 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Sickness Benefits (Limerick).

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that there is widespread dissatisfaction at the delay experienced by persons in the County and City of Limerick in the payment of sickness benefits; and if so, if he will take steps to remedy the complaint.

I am not aware that the position is as stated by the Deputy. If he will let me have particulars of any case in which delay appears to have occurred I shall have the matter examined.

Of course, there are widespread complaints.

Perhaps the Deputy would let us have the particulars.

In Kildare too, I am afraid.

We are here to remedy the matter if the Deputy would let us know the particulars.

I can send you plenty and I sent you some already and you were not so good.
