Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign Travel by State Representatives.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, for the period 18th February, 1948, to 13th June, 1951, the total cost to the Exchequer of journeys abroad undertaken by (1) Ministers of State and (2) Parliamentary Secretaries.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, with reference to the period 18th February, 1948, to 13th June, 1951, the number of journeys abroad undertaken by Parliamentary Secretaries giving (1) the name of the Parliamentary Secretary, (2) the purpose for which each journey was undertaken, (3) the number of persons accompanying each Parliamentary Secretary and the status of each such person, (4) the total cost to the Exchequer of each such journey, and (5) the total amount from all sources ascribable to the Parliamentary Secretary.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state for the period 18th February, 1948, to 13th June, 1951 the total number of journeys abroad made by each Minister of State giving (a) destination, (b) purpose, (c) duration of each journey, (d) number and status of persons accompanying each Minister, (e) total cost from all sources to the Exchequer, showing expenses ascribable to each Minister separately.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 22, 23, and 24 together. The particulars requested are being compiled and I should be glad if the Deputy would repeat the questions in, say, a week's time.
