Grants amounting to £18,750 and £11,220, respectively, have been sanctioned by my Department during the financial year 1952-53 for (a) the erection of new national schools and (b) the improvement of existing national schools in County Galway.
During the financial year 1952-53 the Commissioners of Public Works have expended £48,000 on the erection of new schools and £12,500 on the improvement of existing schools in County Galway.
