Vol. 137 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Attendance.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the approximate number of day pupils attending secondary schools and national schools.

The approximate number of day pupils who were in attendance at secondary schools on or before 15th October in the school year 1952-53 was 36,450. The approximate number of day pupils on rolls in national schools on 30th June, 1952, was 476,440. I have given the latest information available in each case.
