Vol. 137 No. 1

Committee on Finance. - Vote 74—Repayment to Contingency Fund.

I move:—

That a sum not exceeding £2,845 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1953, for the repayment to the Contingency Fund of certain Miscellaneous Advances.

The purpose of the payments which are now to be recouped to the Contingency Fund are set out on the face of the Estimate. They are of the usual nature, with the exception of item No. 4 which is required to recoup the fund for what is expended on the installation of the President. There is, of course, no particular Vote against which this expenditure could be charged. Therefore, it is felt that it could reasonably be charged to the Contingency Fund.

Question put and agreed to.
Votes 57, 62, 73 and 74 reported and agreed to.
