Vol. 137 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Export of Greyhounds to the United States of America.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what steps, if any, have been taken to explore the potentiality of the dollar market by exportation of our greyhounds to the United States of America.

The promotion of such exports to the dollar area is not strictly within my province but would appear to be a function appropriate to Córas Tráchtála Teoranta. I would, however, refer the Deputy to paragraphs 183 to 185 of the report of the Advisory Committee on the Greyhound Industry, which deal with prospects in that market.

Now that we have snatched Tulyar from your grasp, perhaps you could give them a few greyhounds instead.
