Vol. 138 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Afforestation Schemes.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is now in a position to come to a decision regarding the sanction of afforestation schemes at Killacloghane and Kilderry, Milltown, and also at Lickeen, Glenbeigh and Caragh Lake; and, if so, the nature of the decision.

Title investigations are in progress in respect of Killacloghane Wood and consent to subdivision is being sought in the case of the larger area on offer at Knockagurrane.

The sale has now been closed in the case of the Eager estate at Lickeen and possession should be taken shortly.

As regards the Caragh Lake district, negotiations are in progress for the acquisition of an area of 205¾ acres at Coos and for the three areas totalling 175 acres at Shanacashel.
