Vol. 138 No. 2

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business, as set out in the Order Paper, in the following order: Nos. 1, 9, 5, 6, 7, 10, 8, 14 and 16. It is proposed to interrupt business between 6 and 7.30 p.m. to take Nos. 8, 14 and 16.

Would the Tánaiste say when it is intended to proceed with the Bill to grant an increase in special allowances and in disability pensions?

The Bill is not yet ready for circulation, but it will be produced as soon as possible. There is some congestion in the draftsman's office.

It is a natural follow-up to a Bill which was recently passed.

Certainly.

I assume that the increase will date from the time that the increase was given to the pensioners. Many people are worried about that.

I think it would be advisable not to discuss that aspect of it at all.

Yesterday I asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he could indicate when we shall see the contents of No. 20 on the Order Paper— Workmen's Compensation (Amendment) Bill. Is the Minister in a position to be more informative to-day?
