Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transatlantic Air Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is in a position to state what the position is in regard to the proposal to charter American aircraft for the proposed transatlantic service.

As I stated in reply to a question on 11th February last, plans for the operation of a transatlantic air service this year have been abandoned. The possibility of commencing a service in 1954 with hired aircraft is being considered.
