asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amount of the receipts from excise duties on (a) beer and (b) home-made spirits in the years 1951-52 and 1952-53.

The net receipts fromthe excise duties on beer and home-made spirits for the years 1951-52 and 1952-53 were as follows:—

Does that reply indicate that the tax will go?

I do not know what point the Deputy is trying to make.
