Vol. 138 No. 12

Order of Business.

No. 6 on the Order Paper will be taken. It is proposed that public business be not interrupted to take Private Deputies' business. The House will appreciate that the Dáil will meet next week on Tuesday and Wednesday only.

From 3 to 10.30 p.m.?

From 3 to 10.30 p.m.

I want to draw the attention of the House to No. 30 on the Order Paper. It is a motion which purports to deal with a survey of the River Maine catchment area, County Kerry. I asked a question here in that regard on the 29th April last.

The Deputy cannot raise the matter in this fashion.

In reply to that question, I was informed that that survey had been arranged.

I have told the Deputy that he cannot raise the matter in this fashion. In the first place, I got no notice of it from the Deputy and in the second place it is quite irregular.

The point I wish to make is that that motion should not appear on the Order Paper as the matter has been dealt with. The motion is only a bluff.
