Question proposed: "That the Bill do now pass."

Can the Minister say how long after the Bill has been enacted it will be before compensation is paid to the shareholders?

It will be paid promptly after the purchase of the undertaking has been completed and the money paid over to the company, but the actual payment of the compensation will be a matter for the company and not for us.

The Minister cannot give any estimate of how long it will take, because people are anxious to get their compensation?

I feel certain that the company are making all arrangements to do their part of the work as quickly as possible after the business has been completed.

Question put and agreed to.
Ordered: That the Bill be sent to the Seanad.
