Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Male Farm Workers.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the total number of males engaged in farm work on the 1st June and 1st January, 1950, 1951 and 1952, and on the 1st January, 1953, distinguishing, if possible, between employeesand members of farmers' families.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information in respect of 1st June, 1950, 1951 and 1952. The particulars are not available in respect of the 1st January in the years in question.

Following is the statement:—

NUMBER of Males, 14 years and over, engaged in farm work on 1st June in each of the years 1950, 1951 and 1952.
