Vol. 139 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of County Cork Lands.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that about 500 acres of first-class, highly valued land in the Owenabue valley at Ballinhassig, County Cork, is rendered useless due to flooding; and, if so, if he will state what steps the land project section of his Department are prepared to take to deal with this matter, in view of the valuation of the land.

The relief of flooding caused by rivers like the Owenabue is work which does not fall within the scope of the land reclamation scheme.
