asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the urgent desire for rural electrification in the Roundwood area in County Wicklow and if he will make representations to the E.S.B. to have the area dealt with without delay.

I am informed by the E.S.B. that the Roundwood area has been officially canvassed and the returns are at present being investigated. It is expected that the area will be considered for selection before the end of the year but I am not in a position to state when development is likely to take place.
