Vol. 141 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tenancy of Mallow Houses.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state if 40 houses recently erected at Goold's Hill, near Mallow town, were intended for rural workers, and, if so, whether his Department issued any special directions to the county manager as to how the tenants were to be selected.

These cottages were provided under the Labourers' Acts. The letting of cottages provided under these Acts is governed by Articles 11 and 12 of the Housing (Management and Letting) Regulations. The answer to the second part of the question is "no".
