Vol. 141 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Transport.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that the commercial transport service of C.I.E. to the Glenhest area, Newport, County Mayo, is most unsatisfactory and that the supply of goods to this area is often delayed resulting in grave hardships to the local people and, if so, what steps he proposes to take to remedy this state of affairs.

The responsibility for meeting the demand for transport facilities has been placed by the Transport Act, 1950, on the Board of C.I.E. Any representations in this matter should, accordingly, be addressed direct to the board.
