Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - State Forestry Receipts.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in regard to forestry operations carried on by the State since 1922 the total receipts accruing to the State from the sale of timber showing, if possible, theamount received from the sale of thinnings and grown trees.

The total receipts from State forestry from all sources, including sales of forest produce from 1922 to date, were approximately £1,500,000. Separate figures are not available for proceeds of sales of timber classified as requested by the Deputy.

Does that figure include the sale of firewood during the emergency period of the war to the Department of Industry and Commerce?

Since 1922.

It includes the sale of all firewood?

All firewood sold by the Forestry Department?

It is the answer to the question in the name of the Deputy who had it down.
