Vol. 141 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Dublin Housing Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the grass margins left by the Dublin Corporation on the footpaths of their housing schemes in Howth, Ballyfermot and Finglas are making the roads unsightly as the young children are digging up such margins; and, if so, if he will request the corporation to have such margins concreted.

I am informed that the question of the grass margins of some footpaths in the housing schemes mentioned by the Deputy has been investigated by members and officials of the housing authority and that it will be discussed at a forthcoming meetingof the Housing Committee of the Dublin City Council.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will request the Dublin Corporation to have all the parks in the housing areas of Bally-fermot and Finglas put into proper condition, so as to make playgrounds available for children.

I will pass on the Deputy's views on this subject to the Dublin Corporation.
