Vol. 141 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Drainage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reasons for the delay in completing the drainage of the Rathbeg river, Gortnahoe, County Tipperary, under the Local Authorities (Works) Act in view of the substantial benefits which would be conferred on some 40 local farmers by the completion of the scheme.

A proposal for the carrying out of further work on the Rathbeg river was recently submitted by the Tipperary (S.R.) County Council as part of their programme of works under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, for the current year. A decision will issue to the council in due course.
