Vol. 141 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Malting Barley.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the average price paid to producers of malting barley in the three-year period ending 1950 and also the two-year period ending 1952.

The average price of malting barley per cwt. in the three calendar years, 1948-50, was 26/10, and in the two calendar years, 1951-52, the average price was 38/3. The prices quoted are based on returns received weekly from a number of market towns throughout the State.
