The Stationery Office has informed my office that there is, for the time being, a ban on overtime work in Dublin printing works.
While it is not yet possible to assess accurately the effect this will have on parliamentary printing, there is bound to be some dislocation. Members may expect some last-minute corrections in Order Papers owing to the fact that they will have to be sent to press some time before the end of the previous day's sitting. There will also bedelay—possibly an extra day—in the issue of debates.
The situation is being kept under observation and I shall ask the Committee on Procedure and Privileges to meet if developments seem to require it.
