asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission expects to deal with the rearrangement of the Meldon estate, County Mayo (Record No. S.1719).

The question of the rearrangement of the Meldon estate, County Mayo (Record No. S.1719) has been noted for investigation by the Land Commission. The matter will be dealt with as early as the pressure of other work allows.

Can the Minister give any indication as to when it may be done?

He will not.

These people have been waiting a long time.

We are awaiting a report from the inspector in charge at the moment.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state how long the Land Commission have been in possession of Claggan Mountain, Ballycroy, and what their intentions are in connection with those lands.

The mountain comprises the residue of an estate which the former Congested Districts Board was unable to dispose of. From time to time the Land Commission have investigated the feasibility of preparing a permanent scheme for the lands, without success. The position is being reinvestigated at present.
