Vol. 143 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wexford Post Office.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in regard to the transfer of the post office at Tagoat, County Wexford, the total cost incurred as a result of Gardaí being on duty in that connection and the number of hours during which they were so engaged.

Five members of the Garda were on duty at Tagoat, County Wexford, on the 29th October, for a period of about four and a half hours in connection with the transfer of the local post office. The cost was negligible.

Am I to understand that it cost the State nothing?

Mr. Boland

Very little extra. It is hardly worth mentioning. They were guarding an old I.R.A. man.
