Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Liquor Licences.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of liquor licences issued to retailers in each of the years 1938-39 and 1952-53.

The total numbers of licences issued for the sale of intoxicating liquor by retail in the years 1938-39 and 1952-53 were 14,719 and 15,740, respectively. Details are shown in a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propost to include in the Official Report.
