asked the Taoiseach if will state the c.i.f. cost per cwt. of imported wheat in the year 1952 and in the period January to September, 1953.
In the year 1952 the c.i.f. cost per cwt. of imported wheat for milling was £1 10s. 11d. and for seed was £2 5s. 1d. In the period January-September, 1953, the c.i.f. cost per cwt. for imported wheat for milling was £1 9s. 10d., and for seed was £2 4s. 8d.
Will the Taoiseach arrange to have printed in connection with the answers to any of these questions relating to wheat the moisture content of the wheat on which that price is based as a price for wheat withoutan indication of moisture content has no meaning?
I do not know whether we will be able to get that but we will try.
If it is convenient.
