Vol. 143 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Apple Imports and Exports.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the value of apples (a) exported to, and (b) imported from Great Britain and the Six Counties during the 1952-53 season.

I assume that the 12 months 1 July, 1952, to 30 June, 1953, cover what the Deputy has in mind by the "1952-53 season". The value of apples exported in that period to Britain was £6,627 and to the Six Counties was £5. During the same period the value of apples importedfrom Britain was £9,183 and from the Six Counties was £33,504.
