Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin County Council Rates.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, for the Dublin County Council area, the total arrears of rates at 31st March for each year from 1948-49 to 1952-53, inclusive, and at the latest available date.

The arrears of rates due to the Dublin County Council at the 31st March in the years mentioned were:—

1950

£10,578

1951

£18,200

1952

£12,946

1953

£12,667

On the 30th September, 1953, rates due to the council amounted to £398,537.

These figures do not include increases in rents of small dwellings owned by the rating authority.
