Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment on Forestry.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the number of men employed in forestry at the latest available date and at the corresponding dates of the years 1950, 1951 and 1952.

The number of forestry workers employed on the 20th November, which is the latest date for which figures are available was 3,882. For the corresponding dates in 1950, 1951 and 1952 the numbers were 2,851, 3,432 and 3,418, respectively.
