Vol. 143 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Reclamation Scheme in Clare.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will indicate the progress made by the land reclamation scheme in Clare and if he will state whether he is satisfied that the scheme is being operated to the best advantage.

Mr. Walsh

As to the first part of the question, I would refer the Deputy to the periodical statistical returns regarding the operation of the land reclamation scheme which are circulated to Deputies. The last such return was furnished on the 24th October, 1953. As to the second part of the question, I have not any reason to doubt that the land reclamation scheme is being operated in Clare to the best advantage, having regard to the nature and extent of the work.

Can the Minister say if the Minister for External Affairs is satisfied with the policy in relation to that?

All the stunt was broken down.
