asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state the amount of the investments of the associated banks held (a) within the State and (b) elsewhere, in the September quarter of 1953.
I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 10 and 11 together. The information requested by the Deputy is given in Table V of the Quarterly Statistical Bulletinof the Central Bank for July, 1951, and October, 1953 copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
There is no figure in the return to which the Minister referred for the net external assets of the bank and if the Minister was capable of reading the return he would know that.
