Vol. 143 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Traffic Regulations.

asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the increasing number of road accidents in the past 12 months, he will consider the advisability of making new traffic regulations or utilising other means at his disposal to cope with the situation, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Mr. Boland

The Department of Local Government, in consultation with my Department and the Garda Siochána, are at present engaged in a review of the Road Traffic Act, 1933, with a view to the introduction of legislation to amend and strengthen the Act.
