Vol. 144 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Maize Imports.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of tons of maize imported in each of the last three months and the c.i.f. price per ton for each consignment.

In the month of October, 1953, 26,553 tons of maize were imported. The corresponding imports in November, 1953, amounted to 18,982 tons, and in December, 1953, to 7,000 tons. I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the c.i.f. price per ton for each consignment.

Following is the statement:—

C.i.f. price per ton of each consignment of maize imported in the months October-December, 1953.
