asked the Taoiseach if he will state the total value of all fruit, whether whole or processed, imported into the Republic during the year ended 31st December, 1953.

The total value of fruit, whether whole or processed (not including nuts, jams, marmalades and fruit jellies), imported in the year ended 31st December, 1953, was £3,147,286.
