Vol. 144 No. 5

Suspension of a Deputy.

I must name Deputy Dunne for disregarding the direction of the Chair.

I move:—

That the Deputy be suspended from the service of the House.

Democracy!

Question put and declared carried.

Deputy Dunne must withdraw from the House.

(Deputy Dunne remained in his seat.)

Is Deputy Dunne refusing to obey a decision of the Chair as communicated to him by the Chair?

I think somebody should exercise his democratic rights in this House.

I will call on the Captain of the Guard to remove the Deputy.

I do not propose to go.

I would suggest, a Cheann Comhairle, that you suspend the sitting for a short time.

The House stands adjourned until 3.30 p.m.

The Dail resumed at 3.30 p.m.
