Vol. 144 No. 7

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Defence Forces' Fish Supplies.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the quantity and value of imported fish supplied to his Department for the year ended December, 1953.

Contracts for the supply of fish to the Army are placed with Irish merchants and I am not in a position to state to what extent they import supplies. It is understood, however, that little, if any, of the fish supplied to the Army is imported.
