Vol. 144 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Labourers: Forenoon Break.

Mr. Brennan

asked the Minister for Lands if he will consider allowing a ten minutes' break in the forenoon to forestry labourers, since many of these have to travel over eight miles to their work.

It is unusual for forestry labourers to have to travel as much as eight miles to work. On the ordinary working day work commences at 8 a.m. and lunch hour is at 12 noon. If the Deputy has a particular case of hardship in mind I will have it looked into on receipt of the details.
