Vol. 144 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - International Lawyers' Conference.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his attention has been drawn to the failure to arrange for the holding of the international lawyers' conference in this country in July next; and, if so, whether, in view of the importance of such a conference to this country both from a tourist and a prestige point of view, he will endeavour to have agreement reached between the parties involved so as to have this conference held here as originally intended.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, I understand that it would not be possible at this stage to arrange for the holding of this conference here.
