asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amount of bank overdraft for each of the years 1947 to 1953 inclusive of (a) Grain Importers Ltd.; (b) Tea Importers Ltd.; (c) Butter Marketing Committee; (d) Irish Steel Holdings Ltd., and (e) Fuel Importers Ltd.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 20 and 21 together and to circulate the reply, which is in the form of a tabular statement, with the Official Report. I have assumed that the Deputy requires the figures for overdraft as at a particular date and have given the figures for the last day of each year, except in the case of the Irish Potato Marketing Company Limited, where overdraft accommodation was required for short periods only and the overdraft figure has been taken at the last day in 1952 and 1953 on which an overdraft was outstanding.
