Written Answers. - Personal Taxable Incomes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of persons whose personal taxable income in each of the last four years exceeded (a) £5,000, (b) £7,500, (c) £10,000, (d) £12,500, (e) £15,000, (f) £17,500 and (g) £20,000.

In the various ranges of income indicated the numbers of persons assessed to surtax as at 30th September, 1953, were as follows:—
