asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the quantity and cost of butter imported prior to 31st July, 1953, which has not yet been disposed of.

The quantity of butter imported prior to 31st July, 1953, and held in stock by the Butter Marketing Committee on 20th March, 1954, was 15,022 cwt. The cost of this butter was 382/6 per cwt. c.i.f. Dublin.
