asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate what decision he has arrived at in connection with the application of Wicklow Harbour Board for a grant to carry out urgent repairs to the docks.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Wicklow Docks.
The Wicklow Harbour Commissioners were informed in February, 1953, that subject to a local contribution of £7,000, a grant from State funds would be made available to meet the cost of certain works, estimated to cost £35,000.
The harbour commissioners urged that certain fundamental alterations should be made in the scheme. This has involved obtaining a further technical report which was received some days ago. Consideration of the matter is progressing as expeditiously as possible.
When does the Minister hope to receive the report?
I received it some days ago, in fact last week.
