Vol. 146 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dursey Islanders' Conditions.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware of the plight of a number of families living on Dursey Island owing to the uneconomic nature of their farms; and, if so, if he will make arrangements for their migration to suitable holdings so as to relieve congestion on the island.

The Land Commission have already migrated three families from Dursey Island and are about to carry out a detailed examination of the position of the remaining families before deciding what can be done to relieve their condition.

Can the Minister say when the detailed examination will be carried out?

I think at once.
