Vol. 146 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - C.I.E. Superannuation Scheme.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will make representations to C.I.E. in connection with the board's superannuation scheme for their employees in the conciliation grades with a view to the upward revision of the current rates of pensions.

Under the provisions of the Transport Act, 1950, the responsibility for initiating amendments to the existing C.I.E. superannuation schemes rests with the board. I understand that the level of pensions is already the subject of discussion between C.I.E. and the trade unions.
