Vol. 146 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Appointment.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the nature of the area, he will sanction the appointment of a resident veterinary surgeon in Castletownbere.

Sanction has been given to the Cork County Council to appoint a part-time veterinary inspector in the Castletown rural district for public health duties and duties under the Diseases of Animals Acts. A condition of the appointment is that the inspector should reside in the district.

The Local Appointments Commissioners have already invited applications for the appointment.
