Vol. 146 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Land Projects.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that many people in the Dingle peninsula, County Kerry, have submitted applications for land project work during the past three years and if he will state if it is proposed to start operations in this area in the near future.

I am aware that a number of applications have been made by farmers in the Dingle peninsula to have reclamation work carried out by my Department under section B of the land project. So far, however, a contractor who would be prepared to undertake work in suitable cases has not become available. Further efforts to this end are being made.
