Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Sparking Plugs.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what imports of sparking plugs manufactured outside the Republic of Ireland were allowed during the years 1945 to 1954.

Quantitative restrictions on imports of complete sparking plugs, which had been suspended from 1942, were restored in February, 1946, and licences were issued for the importation of 13,651 sparking plugs during the period February to October, 1946. Licences as follows have been issued for successive periods of 12 months ending 31st October:—
