Vol. 146 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Nenagh River.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when the work of draining the Nenagh River, County Tipperary, will commence.

Following the recent exhibition of the scheme in accordance with the provisions of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, the further statutory requirements are now receiving attention. Pending compliance with these requirements I am not in a position to say precisely when work will start; but it may be taken that there will be no avoidable delay in dealing with the necessary preliminaries.
