A field survey of the rivers Deale and Swillyburn, undertaken at the request of the Minister for Agriculture for the purposes of the Land Reclamation Act, 1949, was completed recently. Work is now proceeding on the plotting of the data collected, the design of channels and embankments and the preparation of an estimate of cost. Several months will be required to complete that work and a report will then be made to the Minister for Agriculture.
