I want to tell the Chair that the bell did not ring in our rooms. A number of the Deputies only heard afterwards that it had rung.
Health Bill, 1954—Final Stages.
Bill received for final consideration.
Mr. de Valera
I cannot understand that, as there was a division just immediately before this one.
Mr. de Valera
The bell did ring before and I heard the bell in my room. Some secretaries came in to tell me about this one. A number of others were left out in the same way.
Because of that, if the Deputy wishes, the Deputy may have the division on the Fifth Stage.
Mr. de Valera
I do not think it matters. I understood it happened once before and the question is what is to be done in such cases.
That is surely caused by a defect in the wiring.
Mr. de Valera
It must be.
Question—"That the Bill do now pass"—put and agreed to.
The Dáil adjourned at 10.30 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 27th October, 1954.
